THINK founder, Bryan Carter, has had a bountiful career of learning, teaching, and commitment to elevating people and projects.
Carter serves as CEO for THINK. He relies on his extensive experience as he leads coaching and consulting practices for the company.

Business
Bryan has worked in R&D, Organization Development, Learning and Performance, Design, Development, Media Production, Publishing, Marketing and Advertising. He has experience with large corporations and small to mid-size businesses. He has worked with IBM, NCR, and AT&T Worldwide Services, worked in teams with Anderson Consulting and Diamond Consulting, and founded two consulting companies, a publishing business, a distribution business, and a creative agency. Today he runs THINK, a business and brand coaching firm that offers ad agency media and production as well as fractional officer service.
Roles
Carter has held many roles and had many accomplishments. He was a member of the PS1 Development Team for IBM where he ran the competitive analysis lab for the R&D group; as a business coach for Home Depot’s internal multi-media training department; as a process and design consultant for Citigroup; as a Director for a technology company; as Design Director for a Chicago startup partnership with Diamond Consulting and as Creative Director for an internet technology company during dot-com; as VP for an advertising agency; founded two consulting businesses, a distribution company, and a creative agency; founded a publishing business that produced two branded publications–Manufactured in Mississippi Magazine and Emma Jack Magazine; helped raise the stock price of a bank from $3.04 to $8.45 in 16 months as a fractional CMO and marketing, design, and advertising services provider; helped take a product company from prototype and startup to a $100 million company in 30 months as a fractional CMO and marketing, design, and advertising services provider; and has mentored, coached, and consulted with more than 300 small to midsized businesses.
Design
Carter was one of AT&T’s first User Centered Design experts where his team was awarded for their work in immersive simulations and experiential learning training sessions; and led as Design Director for The Sauce and Fly in The Soup, two Chicago startups. He served as Creative Director for Vention, a 100 person dot.com company, and for THINK.
Usability
Carter was one of the first established members of the Usability Professionals Association (UPA); conducted multiple usability testing sessions in coordination with software development for AT&T and NCR; trained AT&T, NCR, and Home Depot employees to conduct usability testing and utilize user-centered design; presented at national / international conferences on usability, usability testing, and user-centered design.
Research & Development
Bryan ran the competitive analysis lab for IBM’s PS1 Team where we housed a lab filled with competitive hardware and a library of software used to research cutting edge software, hardware and operating systems including Apple, PC, PS2, and international platforms; worked with The University of Georgia conducting research and development projects on multimedia learning.
Psychology
Carter studied educational and behavioral psychology as part of a master’s degree with The University of Georgia; avidly applied psychological research in software and design projects career-long; special interests in psychology related to influence, behavior, performance, and learning.
Leadership
Carter served in multiple leadership roles including team leader, manager, director, vice president, president, CEO, and founder of multiple enterprises.
Coaching
Bryan has served as a consultant to Fortune 500s; developed training NCR Teradata’s top 20 sales people and a 500+ network technician staff; trained the trainers in motivational engagement for NCR; trained the Home Depot multimedia education team in the design and development of highly immersive simulated learning environments; has coached and consulted over 300 small and mid-size businesses; served as a Marketing Mentor for Innovate Mississippi across multiple conferences; and has served official mentorship, teaching and training roles for multiple organizations.
Presentations
Presented at national / international conferences on the topics of engagement and motivation strategy, simulation design, design strategy, rapid prototyping, usability, usability testing, user-centered design, and AI adoption. Conferences include National Educational Computing Conference (NECC), Society for Applied Learning Technologies (SALT), Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Usability Professionals Association (UPA), Performance Support, E3, and Accelerate.
