OUTCOME: Start-up to $100M in under 24 mos

A guy walks into a marketing company with a prototype that looks like a black pipe bomb labelled “Mosquito Bomb” and says I want to market this and build a huge company.

Awkward prototype to a $100 million company in less than two years.

Go-to-Market Plan

The whole team was very busy with a go-to-market plan that began with grass roots retail and online marketplaces, and grew to big box.

Then there was that one time when we built a giant monster mosquito with a movie SFX company and took it to Vegas joined by a host of muscle-dense, horse riding gladiators to take over the National Hardware Show.

COVID and Gary Busey

Then there was the next year when COVID struck and everything was shut down and we needed a thing to do.  So, we blew up the mosquito in the middle of a peanut farm with an impressive amount of explosives and went viral with over 2 million views.

And the next week when we hired Gary Busey to get on camera and explain to the public that the farmer was compensated and the farm was fine, then sing a song about peanuts for another 2 million views.

Scratch to $100M

Think also had the pleasure of hand writing letters directly to international heads of state to accompany visits in an effort to help countries control their mosquito populations.  Can you say “caligraphy please?”

That’s how you build a company from scratch to $100 million in less than two years.
